Google Ads for your website’s SEO?
Google Ads can be a great resource for promoting your business’ campaign while boosting your website’s SEO. Unfortunately, many new users of Google Ads can get bogged down by the complicated features. Here are some mistakes that you should avoid in order to increase, rather than decrease, your site’s SEO ranking with the help of Google Ads.
1. Don’t use too many keywords
While picking the right keywords can help attract site visitors in droves, choosing too many of them can turn visitors away as well. Your keywords should not only be specific and niche, but also short and straightforward. Take, for example, the keywords “website” versus “eCommerce website development”. Which sounds better? The second one, of course. Strive to pick meaningful keywords like these, and you’ll be on your way to better SEO using Google Ads.
2. You’re using too few groups
In Google Ads, advertisers can use choose how many ads they want to display per group. Rather than choosing one, you should strive for three ads per group. This way, it is easier for search engines to display your content, especially if the message for the campaign is similar across all three.
3. You don’t have a call to action
You may invest a lot of effort into crafting the perfect SEO campaign, but at the end of the day, if you don’t have a call to action directing users to your site, then you will not receive any site visitors. When creating SEO campaigns through Google Ads, make sure that you include a link to your website someplace on the ad. For best results, display the link somewhere prominent within the ad.
